The $11,000 check comprises one dollar from every kid’s meal sold during the past year, as well as 10% of ticket sales from the recent Crawfish Boil event at Hard Count Kitchen & Cocktails, 2020 Market’s sister restaurant, also located at The Summit at Rivery Park.
“The advocacy center is instrumental in helping victims of child abuse find healing in a safe and compassionate environment,” said 2020 Market owner Manuel Martinez. “We are honored and privileged to have the opportunity to make an impact in our community and help change the lives of children through this incredible organization.”
The Williamson County Children’s Advocacy Center provides services in family advocacy, forensic interviews, medical treatment, mental health counseling, case coordination, and abuse prevention and education. Help is provided free of charge to children throughout the county.
“We are happy to help publicize the services the advocacy center provides to our community,” Martinez said. “We also hope that our contribution helps to raise awareness about the plight of many children locally and nationally.”
